Dr. Mullikin is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Miami University for his undergraduate degree before completing his dental school training at Case Western Reserve University in 1976. While in school, he was elected to OKU, a national honorary dental society. After graduation, he proudly entered the Navy as a general dentist. He started his practice in Marietta in 1978. Dr.Mullikin and his wife, Linda, have two daughters, Brooke and Abby.

Dr. Mullikin is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. He is a member of the Northwest District Dental Society where he has been Chairman of Peer Review, Chairman of the Awards Committee, and Treasurer. He is currently a member of the Chattahoochee Dental Study Club and the Hinman Dental Society.

When not in the office, he enjoys boating, fishing, and traveling.
